There is no agreement as to what are the "best" teaching practices.? Especially within the Piagetian community, there are a wide divergent set of interpretations of the data.?There are really only one of the two factors in meta-analysis that consistently show to produce results.? 1.?Individualization.?This is true for many "schools" of thought, inducing Piaget's and behavioral types such is in direct instruction.? 2.?Motivation.?This is controversial to say the least.?Some try using charting or some immediate feedback.?Others hope that the reduction in contradictions and curiosity's will do it.?We have developed a set of vignettes to measure how well teachers understand this.?They predict stage with an r of about .9 and do not require scoring.
