Hello everybody I would like to announce that my biography about Piaget has just been published as a part of the Continuum Library of Educational Thought. Richard Kohler (2008) Jean Piaget. London/New York: Continuum. Piaget is almost always understood based upon his middle and late works, whereas I reconstructed Piaget's theory from its beginnings. I tried to identify the continuities and breaks in the development of his theory, as well as the reasons behind them. Based on biographic and contextual analysis, I concluded that Piaget's psychology and epistemology can only be understood if his theology of immanentism is taken into account. Another focus of research were his educational views and his activities in the progressive education movement. I would be glad to get some feedbacks and to discuss my findings with you.
