The 2nd International Enterprise Promotion Convention to be held in Harrogate, Yorkshire on 8-10 November 2010 will show case best practice and innovation in the creation and support of small businesses world-wide. It will attract many entrepreneurship educators and small business trainers who are seeking innovations and new opportunities in the changing enterprise support sector.
Many of you are engaged in teaching entrepreneurship and supporting new entrepreneurs through novel and exciting programmes. The key aim of this Convention is to share experiences of successful programmes, whilst highlighting the policy implications. The many Universities, Business Schools and Training Companies that stimulate and promote enterprise can gain valuable ideas and new contacts.
All enterprise education and training organisations need to keep themselves up to date and also consider the alternative options for their ongoing engagement with prospective and established small businesses.
Those who teach young people about enterprise or train potential entrepreneurs see entrepreneurship as a transformational force for people and communities. IEPC ORGANISATION
The International Enterprise Promotion Convention is organised by David Irwin, Former Head of the Small Business Service; George Derbyshire, CEO of the National Federation of Enterprise Agencies; Tony Robinson, Founder & Executive Chairman of SFEDI and Brian & Beryl Dunsby, Perlex Associates, past organisers of IBA, ICSB, ISBC & ISBE Conferences on small business and entrepreneurship.
The inaugural International Enterprise Promotion Convention last year demonstrated the demand for an event which brings together a host of people with a common interest in Enterprise Promotion. The informal and participative format worked well and the Harrogate location, with its superb International Convention Centre and wide range of nearby accommodation and hospitality options, was the perfect venue. Our aim is for IEPC 2010 to be bigger and better than ever. Hard-hitting plenary speakers, contrasting policy and practice, more focussed workshop themes, more time for discussion, better value. Come and join us at IEPC2010. We look forward to welcoming you to Harrogate in November.
