Attention Symposium Organizers: New and Updated Information for the Symposium Assistant Website!
Submitters requested the type of assistance with organizing symposia that is offered through the new “Symposia Assistant Website.?Please visit the Submission Website and log into the “Symposia Assistant Website.?
What can I do on the Symposia Assistant Website?
An author may post a paper, poster, or topic that he/she would like to be included in a submitted symposium;
An author of a posted paper, poster, or topic may contact the chair of a symposium he/she is interested in joining;
A person may nominate him or herself to serve as a discussant for a symposium;
A potential discussant may contact the chair of a symposium to discuss the possibility of joining that symposium;
A chair may list components of an incomplete symposium and indicate what he/she is looking for to complete it.
A chair may contact individual authors and discussants and invite them to join his/her symposium.
Currently there are quite a few incomplete symposia--all types--posted on this website and many individual papers and posters that were posted by authors who would like to be part of a symposium. There are several discussants available as well. Two search engines will
Help chairs find papers, posters, topics, and discussants to complete their symposia and
Help authors find posted symposia that could include their posted papers or posters.
SRCD does not monitor or intercede in communications among users of this website. All submissions must be entered through the official SRCD Submission Website by the appropriate deadlines. No exceptions will be made.
If your symposium now has met all of the requirements and is ready for submitting, please remove the checkmark on the "Final Check and Confirmation" webpage so that the symposium is no longer visible on the website. By August 29, 2008, go to the official SRCD submission website (http://www.srcd.org/submissions2009), login, and enter your submission.
If your paper, poster, or topic now is part of a symposium, or if you have joined a symposium as a discussant, please remove the checkmark on the "Final Check and Confirmation" webpage so that the paper/poster/topic/discussant is no longer visible on the website.
For individual papers or posters that are not selected for a symposium, there are two additional options:
By August 22, 2008, if your paper or poster has not been selected to be part of a symposium, you may submit it as an individual poster. Go to the official SRCD submission website (http://www.srcd.org/submissions2009), login, and enter your submission.
By August 29, 2008, if your paper or poster has not been selected to be part of a symposium, you may adapt it and submit it as an Individual Pecha Kucha Presentation. Go to the official SRCD submission website (http://www.srcd.org/submissions2009), login, and enter your submission.
